We’re almost one week into the 30 Day Challenge to Invest in Yourself First. Investing valuable TIME in yourself can be hard with so many other pressing responsibilities and obligations. Investing TIME in yourself first provides a better opportunity to stay focused on the things that matter most to you and be intentional about the changes needed to live the life you want.
Financial Wellness is an outcome of the daily actions, choices and behaviors we live. In order to improve our Financial Wellness we must invest TIME clarifying exactly what is the life we want to live and consistently working towards achieving it.
On Day #6 we continue with the process of evaluating our list of goals. As you review each goal, write down a sentence or two for each about the motivation behind it. Clearly state the PURPOSE for each goal and the impact they will have on your life. Without a clear PURPOSE it is easy to give up, file it away or get distracted with other business.
Understand your unique reasons for each goal. This is your story, your journey, your life. You don’t owe anyone an explanation for pursuing your life goals, but you must have a very concise vision of why you want to achieve it for yourself. Include a statement about what your life will look like if you choose not to pursue your goals.
Look for ways to capture your PURPOSE for each goal. Visual reminders can be really helpful when you get discouraged or frustrated. Images on your phone or computer can inspire and remind you of why the challenges are worth it. Use a calendar or chart to mark off important benchmarks and track your progress towards your goals.
Find your PURPOSE. Know the specific outcome you are going for. Be very clear about what the finish line looks like, so you can celebrate once you get there.
