30 Day Challenge to Invest in Yourself First – Day #15

Over the past few days we’ve looked at a few important concepts that are directly related to improving financial wellness. On Day #13 of the 30 Day Challenge we learned about the significance of being GENTLE – not only to others but first and foremost with ourselves. Then on Day #14 we reflected on the idea of being GENEROUS and how it differs from using our resources to influence or control others.
Today as we continue becoming more consistent with investing TIME in our own growth and wellbeing, let’s consider the importance of “CARE”. Building a regular routine of blocking at least 5% of your TIME each week for yourself is a great way towards self care.
According to the Cambridge Dictionary, “CARE” is the process of protecting someone or something and providing what that thing or person needs. It also means giving serious attention, especially to the details of a situation or thing. As a verb, CARE means to think that something is important and to feel interested in it or concerned about it.
Reflect on the many ways you CARE for your own wellbeing, including your financial wellbeing. Attention to details is a by product of CARE. By investing TIME in yourself first you will be better equipped to improve your nutrition, your health, have a clearer mind and focus. Think of small ways to incorporate better CARE into your daily routines.
You are important. You are definitely worth it.
